Not really sure how I have author permission on Oppo but every comment I post is still in gray pending status. Must have not checked a box somewhere following the great comment apocalypse of 2014. Odd.

On the FP mostly, but this was today on the CarBuying sub

Each area (domain/subdomain) has it's own following list. Being followed in one area (oppo, for instance), has no bearing within another (in this instance carbuying, or Jalopnik). There isn't a perfect solution beyond making it your mission to be approved everywhere by being an awesome commenter.

(I have done this a couple of times, and won't do it again. Back in the time of stars I was approved everywhere once upon a time, and had multiple stars. Now I'm approved ("followed") on nearly every Jalop subdomain as well as Jezebel and io9, and have authorship on all of the community blogs I participate in (odeck, oppo, GT, backtalk, clashtalk, hackerspace, etc).

Nope. It's area by area. It is annoying. But any system has flaws. And they keep changing (and reverting) to different revisions of the system.

I still have my oppo commenting abilitybut lost my ability on jalopnik. Do you know why that could of happened?

Not sure. You can check to see if Jalopnik is following you in your account settings.
